This trekking pole connecting harness is used to connect two trekking poles together. After connected, the two poles can be used as a single tent pole. It is perfect to use when you need to lash two trekking poles together for use as an emergency tent pole or as a lighweight tent pole. The harness uses the support of the carbide tips of your existing trekking poles. The harness weighs about 1.8 oz. 

Trekking poles connected together are made to be used in a vertical orientation with a light vertical loading. Severe leaning of the trekking poles will weaken the support and may result in damage of your trekking poles.
